Abstrakt
Artykuł ukazuje wartość i sens odnajdywania treści literackich związanych z tematyką śmierci i umierania pisanych z myślą o najmłodszych czytelnikach. W artykule owe treści zostały ujęte w kontekście relacji siostrzano-braterskich oraz siostrzanych. Poprzez analizę tekstu, refleksję i syntezę, autorki wydobywają bogactwo głębi i różnorodności motywów tanatopedagogicznych ukrytych w Małej syrence Andersena oraz w Śnieżnej Siostrze Lunde. Ponadto zwracają uwagę na ważną rolę, jaką odgrywa literatura podejmująca tematykę śmierci w kształtowaniu postaw młodego człowieka, jak również na jej walor terapeutyczny. Bajka lub baśń może również pomóc otworzyć serce i umysł dziecka na problematykę związaną z życiem pozagrobowym, zwrócić uwagę na kwestię przemijalności i nieuchronności śmierci, a tym samym uwrażliwić je na znaczenie i wartość życia.
The article shows the value and sense of finding literary content related to the subject of death and dying written with the youngest readers in mind. In the article, this content was presented in the context of sister-brother and sister relationships. Through analysis of the text, reflection and synthesis, the authors extract the richness of depth and variety of thanatopedagogical motifs hidden in Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid and Maja Lunde’s Snow Sister. Mo-reover, they draw attention to the important role played by the literature dealing with the subject of death in shaping the attitudes of a young person, as well as its therapeutic value. A fairy tale can also help to open the child’s heart and mind to the issues related to the afterlife, draw attention to the issue of the transience and inevitability of death, and thus make them sensitive to the meaning and value of life
