Abstrakt
Liberalizm przedstawiany jest jako bezalternatywna filozofia polityczna, jako że tylko on jest nam w stanie zagwarantować wolność. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie słabości liberalizmu na przykładzie poglądów Johna Rawlsa, a zwłaszcza jego koncepcji wolności, i prezentacja oraz ocena alternatywnego względem niego rozwiązania problemu organizacji życia zbiorowego w postaci propozycji przedłożonej przez Yorama Hazony’ego. Zasługuje ona na uwagę jako próba ponownego odkrycia wartości filozofii politycznej konserwatyzmu, której ocena ukazuje ją jako niewolną od słabości.
Liberalism is presented as a political philosophy without alternatives, because only it can guarantee us freedom. The aim of this article is to point out the weaknesses of liberalism, using John Rawls’s views as an example, particularly his conception of freedom, and to present and assess an alternative solution to the problem of organizing collective life, proposed by Yoram Hazony. It deserves attention as an attempt to rediscover the value of conservatism’s political philosophy, which, in its assessment, reveals its weaknesses.
