| dc.description.abstract | W 1838 roku rozpoczął swoją działalność Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie. Jego zadaniem miało być kształcenie alumnów seminarium duchownego w Tarnowie. Seminarium odpowiadało za formację duchową, a instytut za intelektualną. Jednak w świadomości diecezjan, a nawet samych adeptów tej uczelni, to seminarium kształciło. Na taki stan rzeczy wpłynęło kilka czynników. Najważniejsze, jak się wydaje, było to, że rektor seminarium stał często na czele instytutu. W 2004 roku Instytut Teologiczny w Tarnowie, istniejący od czasów austriackich, został ostatecznie przekształcony w specyficzny Wydział Teologiczny Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie. Tym samym przestała istnieć najstarsza uczelnia wyższa Tarnowa. W artykule podjęto próbę wyjaśnienia zawiłych relacji seminarium duchownego z Instytutem Teologicznym, skutkujących znikomą wiedzą księży i diecezjan na temat jego istnienia i działalności. | pl |
| dc.description.abstract | In 1838, the Theological Institute in Tarnow started its activity. Its task was to educate the seminary students in Tarnow. The seminary itself was responsible for the spiritual formation, while the Institute for the intellectual one. However, in the diocesans’ awareness, even among the Institute students, the seminary itself was perceived as the academy. That was a result of various reasons. It was mainly due to the fact that the same person was simultanously the rector of the seminary and the chief of the Institute. In 2004, the Theological Institute in Tarnow, existing since the Austrian times, was transformed into the specific Theological Department of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Krakow. Because of that, the oldest academy in Tarnow (whose existence had been recognized only by a small group of people) ceased to exist. This article attempts to present the complex relations between the seminary and the Institute, resulting with a minimal knowledge about the Institute’s existence and activity among the clergymen and diocesans. | en |
