Abstrakt
Rewolucja cyfrowa w mgnieniu oka uczyniła z internetu kluczowe źródło informacji dla milionów użytkowników na całym świecie. Sieć przekraczająca dotychczasowe bariery czasu i przestrzeni stała się szansą dostępu do nowych dobrodziejstw, ale zarazem zapoczątkowała szereg negatywnych konsekwencji związanych z rosnącą dominacją medium internetowego. Niniejszy rozdział ma na celu zwrócenie uwagi na wybrane skutki uboczne dominacji internetu jako współcześnie głównego źródła informacji: presji nadążania za informacją (FOMO), anonimowości nadawców w internecie i zjawiska dezinformacji.
The digital revolution has instantly made the internet a key source of information for millions of users around the world. The network, transcending the barriers of time and space, has opened up new possibilities, but it has also ushered in a series of negative consequences related to the growing dominance of the online medium. This article aims to draw attention to selected side effects of the dominance of the Internet as the main source of information today: the pressure to keep up with information (FOMO), the anonymity of senders on the Internet and the phenomenon of disinformation.
