Zasadniczym celem pracy była próba przybliżenia i przedstawienia myślenia religijnego, które, w ujęciu Heschela, krąży jak elipsa wokół dwóch ognisk: religii i filozofii. To myślenie jest wieloaspektowe, sytuacyjne i biegunowe; wyrasta ono z głębi judaizmu i określane było przez myśliciela m.in. jako filozofia religii, teologia głębi, biblijna wizja rzeczywistości. Szczegółowe cele tej pracy to: wskazanie głównych źródeł myśli Heschela, charakterystyka głównych obszarów tematycznych, oraz ukazanie istotnych zagadnień w nich zawartych (np. wskazanie cech konstytutywnych myślenia religijnego, relacja rozumu i wiary). Zastosowano metodę analityczno-syntetyczną. Wykorzystano materiały źródłowe (39) i pozycje bibliograficzne (174).

"Rozumienie osoby ludzkiej w fenomenologii Edmunda Husserla i filozofii Józefa Tischnera" autor przedstawia stanowiska filozofów na temat rozumienia osoby ludzkiej. Cele artykułu są dwa. Pierwszym celem jest prezentacja przeprowadzonych przez obu filozofów krytyk wybranych poglądów, kierunków filozoficznych czy systemów, które w mniemaniu obu myślicieli charakteryzują się redukcjonistycznymi ujęciami indywiduum ludzkiego. Drugim celem pracy jest przedstawienie znaczących kwestii filozoficznych ujęć osoby ludzkiej w filozofii Husserla i Tischnera.
